Bleikloetzle does woodcuts, linocuts, typographic prints and broadsides printed on the hand driven proofing press or rubbed off by hand from the block.

Portfolios and works of art consisting of two or more single sheets will be found in “Thematic Series”.

Works of art being stitched or bound or resembling a book will be found in “Artist’s Book”..

The classically used techniques for original prints are:
relief printing: e. g. woodcut and linocut
intaglio: e. g. etchings
planographic: e. g. lithography

In general a picture is produced by transferring colour onto a material like paper, bord, wood or canvas. The painter uses a brush to do so, the printer artist has to create the forme, that can be a plate a block of wood or composed metal type.
